The Power of Consistency in the Waiting
Have you ever felt like you were showing up day after day—creating, serving, building, praying—and still wondering if anyone sees it? If it matters? If it’s really working?
I’ve been there. Many times.
I’ve felt the weight of showing up faithfully while feeling unseen. The ache of pouring out when you feel like no one’s listening. The frustration of planting seeds and not seeing the fruit—yet.
And then recently, I heard a sermon where one simple phrase pierced right through me:
“Do until due season.”
It wasn’t flashy or profound on the surface—but it hit deep. It reminded me that Kingdom work doesn’t run on our timeline. It runs on God’s. And if He called us to it, He’s also appointed the due season for the harvest.
The Temptation to Quit
Let’s be honest: consistency doesn’t always feel rewarding. There are moments when we’re tempted to question whether we’re doing something wrong, or whether it’s time to pivot. Especially in a digital world that celebrates instant results, faithfulness in the quiet can feel… like failure. But Galatians 6:9 reminds us:
“Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” (Galatians 6:9, NIV)
There it is—if we do not give up.
The harvest is promised. But the waiting? That’s where faith is forged.
God’s Timing Is Perfect
I look back now at the seasons where I felt the most overlooked, and I realize those were the moments God was doing the deepest work. Not in what people could see, but in what He was developing within me.
Character. Endurance. Trust. Obedience.
He was preparing me before promoting me.
When you stay consistent in the unseen, you’re saying, “God, I trust You more than I trust the outcome. I trust Your timeline more than my own.”
Consistency is Kingdom Currency
In a world chasing visibility, Kingdom leaders are called to chase obedience.
To remain rooted when no one’s clapping.
To keep showing up even when the metrics aren’t moving.
To build, write, teach, lead, and love—not for applause, but for eternal impact.
If you’re in a season of obedience without obvious reward—keep going.
If you’re feeling unseen—know that God sees every seed sown in faith.
Keep watering.
Keep showing up.
Keep doing until due season.
Because the promise is not if—it’s when.
The harvest is coming.
Final Thoughts
So today, let this be a gentle but bold reminder:
Consistency isn’t weakness—it’s warfare.
It’s how we stand firm against doubt, discouragement, and delay.
It’s the quiet declaration that God is worth the wait.
Keep doing.
I want to encourage you today-your due season is closer than you think.
